I’m the creator behind iinsidemyhead — a proudly autistic and disabled-led shop centered on self-expression, coping tools, and care 🌈💬.

This all began from a mental health crisis I experienced at 17 which meant I had to leave education, leave my friends and move back home to be under better care and support, and although it was what was needed at the time, having to say goodbye to the career I was working towards as well as my friends, flat and independence felt like failing - but with all the sudden spare time on my hands (between the yknow... crippling depression, mental health appointments and safety plans), I started this small business.

I grew up undiagnosed, unsupported, and often misunderstood. For years, I didn’t have the language or tools to express how I felt, Professionals denied me support and left me to get worse for a very long time.

I was finally diagnosed with Autism and at age 21! 🥳🎉 (self diagnosed for 2 years previous) and found a psychiatrist who believed the things I told her and diagnosed me with Complex PTSD that same year.

Creating this shop wasn’t just a creative outlet — it became a lifeline🧠. I began designing clothing, cards, and resources I wish I’d had growing up: tools that make communication easier, soothe anxious brains, or simply remind someone that they matter.

I built a space that was supportive and safe for myself, in the places where professional care failed me, and in places that healed my inner child so much more than I could of ever expected.

I also never expected it to become that for so many others. I’m endlessly grateful that it has. Everything here is made with love and lived experience. Whether you’re diagnosed, questioning, or still figuring things out — you’re welcome here, always 🫶

This isn’t just a shop. It’s a space for self-expression, support, and community, and I’m so glad you found your way here 💜.

In my early 20s, I also developed several chronic illnesses. These experiences showed me just how inaccessible the world is for disabled people. It’s not just autistic and mental health needs that are overlooked — physical disabilities are too. We deserve better, we deserve access, That’s exactly what I aim to do here, through every product and lived experience shared 🫶
